Licensed Electrical Contracting Businesses are bonded and insured, providing you with a peace of mind. General Contractors cannot do electrical work in residences unless they hold an electrical contractor’s license.

5) Can show an ECRA/ESA license number.

You must immediately call the ESA.

Anyone can contact ESA’s Customer Service Centre (confidentially) at 1-(877) ESA-SAFE (372-7233) if they suspect electrical work being done without a license. ESA receives reports from property owners, contractors, inspectors and others, and looks into everyone.

5. ESA inspection final step, then hydro will reconnect power
6. Project is completed and you will receive a ESA Certificate of Inspection
